Red infrared project

Project

Red

Red is an infrared portrait project exploring the unseen world beyond human vision. Using infrared photography, it questions perception, reality, and how much of the world exists beyond what we can normally see.

Our eyes capture only a tiny fraction of the electromagnetic spectrum. Infrared light — invisible to us — transforms familiar landscapes and faces into something alien and beautiful. Foliage glows white, skin takes on an ethereal luminescence, and the world reveals patterns and textures that exist just beyond our perception.

This project uses the infrared spectrum as a metaphor for what lies beneath the surface — the unseen, the felt, the intuited. Each portrait is a reminder that reality extends far beyond what our limited senses can perceive.
