Goddess
Alternate
Goddess Alternate is a project exploring how nude and alternative models are perceived in photography compared to traditional paintings and sculpture. It focuses on strength, confidence, art, and challenging assumptions around the human form.
Throughout art history, the nude figure has been celebrated in marble and paint — displayed in galleries and museums as the pinnacle of human beauty and artistic expression. Yet when the same forms are captured through a camera lens, they are often viewed differently — sometimes controversially, sometimes dismissed.
This project asks why. It places the photographic subject in the same light as a classical sculpture — emphasising form, power, and vulnerability in equal measure. Every image is a study of the human body as art, reclaiming the narrative around alternative models and the work they do.
